Electronics Recycling a Huge Success

Zeller Corporation held its first Electronic Recycling event on June 12th and 13th with the help of Sunnking Electronics and 13WHAM to give back to the Rochester community and help the environment. Zeller estimated they saw 150 cars per hour which allowed them to collect more than 180,000 pounds of electronics while 13WHAM was just as busy collecting 108,000 pounds of waste.

Gary Haseley, CEO of Zeller, said, “It’s amazing what we’re taking out of here. The response has been crazy,” Haseley said. Members of the Rochester community and surrounds areas were thankful and excited to discard their electronics, which included televisions, computers, telephones, and fax machines.

The event was coordinated by Jill Galvin, Marketing Coordinator of Zeller Corporation and Kimie Romeo, Environmental Coordinator of SunnKing. Galvin expressed her gratitude to the many volunteers who assisted at the event, as well as those individuals who contributed items and is helping to keep Rochester green.
