Zeller Corporation Moves after 44 Years
Zeller moves to the Gleason Business Center
Zeller Corporation has relocated its corporate headquarters to its new home on University Avenue. After 44 years on Emerson Street, Zeller was ready to make the transition to the Gleason Business Center to occupy space with one of their largest customers.
The nearly seventy thousand square feet of space, currently housing 110 employees, was completely renovated while still keeping the integrity of the building as one of the most recognizable in the Rochester community. “The facility is incredible, everything we could have hoped for,” said Gary Haseley, CEO. “From our progressive warehouse design complete with a carousel that has now reduced our foot print by 50% to our six training rooms throughout the building that allow for large and small events, the space works for us now” said Haseley.
The decision to be environmentally friendly was also a priority and the facility was designed to be just that. Currently, Zeller is in the final stages of pursuing certification from the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, also known as LEED, and they are excited to achieve either Certified or Silver recognition.
Zeller’s new facility was developed by RJ Taylor, one of Rochester’s leading general contractors, while the interior of the building was outfitted by Sedgwick Interiors. Work on the project began in May 2008 and the actual reconstruction process of the new space began in August 2008 and was move in ready by December 2008.
Zeller then began moving their staff in stages starting with manufacturing to ensure minimal impact to customers. On December 12, 2008, their move was complete and business officially started for Zeller at 1000 University Avenue, Suite 800 on Monday, December 15th, 2008. “This move was historic to Zeller and we are excited to see our future in the heart of the Rochester community,” Haseley says.
