Aeration System Controls
Metropolitan Sewage Plant – Onondaga County, NY
This project consists of a large a treatment process with eight (8) aeration basins. VSG Enviromation’s OptimAir controls are used to control thirty two (32) 100-hundred horsepower, constant-speed centrifugal blowers. The required sixteen (16) local blower control panels are networked to two (2) aeration process control panels along with OptimAir control logic on an Allen Bradley SLC programmable controller. The control system provides Ethernet connectivity for future SCADA systems. Motor control is via a single two-wire serial link to an Allen Bradley SMC solid state starter. Smart modules in the motor control centers send back motor data including status, current and watts.
Town of Barnstable, MA
This wastewater treatment plant has OptimAir control on four (4) 100 horsepower, constant speed- centrifugal blowers, and in two aeration tanks. Modicon 984 PLC controllers are connected to a SCADA system.
City of Kingston, NY
VSG Enviromation OptimAir controls were installed at the Kingston Wastewater Plant. System controls, with variable speed, are used to control the positive displacement blowers, providing energy savings over conventional two speed mechanical mixers.
Village of Seneca Falls, NY
VSG Enviromation provides conventional blower control for three (3) centrifugal blowers.
