Colonel Ward Station – City of Buffalo, NY

The project, a municipal water, filtration and distribution facility, required the replacement of an FSK tone telemetry system, as well as the pump bearing temperature monitors for the alarm system. Additions were made to the existing SCADA system for sludge processing, while revisions were made to the Intellution Fix/DMACS SACE database and graphic screen programs. A Modicon 984 PLC program revision was made to complete the project.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade – Oswego, NY

Additions and modifications were made to the existing Data Acquisition Systems, as well as to the Opto-22 I/O system and Intellution Fix/DMACS SCADA software programs. Implementation of signal acquisition from new to existing loops completed this project.

Metro Sewage Treatment Plant – Onondaga County, NY

This project consists of a large treatment process with eight aeration basins. VSG Enviromation’s OptimAir controls are used to control thirty two (32) one hundred horsepower, constant-speed centrifugal blowers with modulating inlet valves. System is arranged as sixteen (16) local blower control panels, operating two (2) blowers each, networked to two (2) aeration process control panels controlling four (4) aeration basins each. VSG Enviromation’s OptimAir control logic is implemented on Allen Bradley SLC programmable controllers and utilizes an Allen Bradley Panelview terminal for operator interaction. Control system provides Ethernet connectivity to the plant SCADA system. Motor control is via a two-wire serial communication link to Allen Bradley SMC solid state starters. Smart modules in the motor control centers send back motor data including status, current and watts for control and performance monitoring.

Bird Island Wastewater Treatment Plant – Buffalo, NY

This project design required fabrication of MCC and operator console modifications, including an interface to a Bailey Infi90 Distributed Control System for the plant SCADA upgrade. Power monitoring and power factor controls for a large synchronous pump motor switchgear also were added. The integration of computer commands and local computer mode selection with Modicon PLC replacement of Settled Wastewater Pump Logic and Synchronous Motor control completed this project.

Water Treatment Plant – Lowville, NY

Installed data collection for remote pumping/treatment facilities utilizing UHF radio-telemetry for the personal computer based SCADA system. Modicon 984 PLC controllers are connected to a SCADA system.
